UNESCO launches open online course for journalists on COVID-19 pandemic and publishes policy briefs to assess disinformation on COVID-19
It is important that we continue to fight against the pandemic of disinformation that has surged due to COVID-19 crisis. UNESCO along with its partners has now published new resources that helps us to tackle disinformation.
1. Deciphering COVID-19 disinformation: UNESCO publishes two policy briefs that offer critical insights into the fast-growing COVID-19-related disinformation that is impeding access to trustworthy sources and reliable information.
2. Journalism in a pandemic: Covering COVID-19 now and in the future: Registrations are open for a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) launched by UNESCO, WHO and the Knight Center. It is a four-week online course aiming at providing journalists with the necessary knowledge and tools to cover the COVID-19 health crisis, and the social, financial and political consequences it entails.
